The Women’s Literary Festival Board and the Festival’s generous sponsors are pleased to present this unique day devoted to all readers who want to learn more about women who write and the stories they tell.
The Festival showcases women writers, both those who are already well-known and those who may be less well-known but equally deserving of serious attention. The Festival also celebrates readers and is dedicated to promoting literacy, diversity and social justice.
We have worked diligently to create a Festival that will expand your understanding and appreciation of the writing process as you enjoy the presentations given by our distinguished group of women authors and the opportunity to interact with the authors and other readers. We appreciate your attendance and encourage your feedback about ways we might enhance the Festival.
Schedule of the Day (or what happens when…)
The day begins at 8:30am with sign-in at the registration table in the main hallway. Coffee and tea are available, included in your reg fee. Then everyone gathers in the main room for introductory remarks and welcome, followed by the first two speakers. Each author’s presentation lasts about 45 minutes, often with a Q & A at the end, if time.
Following the morning main room session, there is a short interval for exploring our book room where you’ll find our authors’ books available for purchase. Then it’s on to the breakout sessions (your choice of one of three author sessions to attend). These 45-minute sessions are held in smaller rooms with more opportunities for questions.
After the break-outs, the authors will be signing books in the main hallway, and you will have additional time to explore the book room and make purchases.
Lunch in the main room will begin at 12:15 and end at 1:15.
The two afternoon author presentations begin immediately following lunch. The day concludes at 3:30pm with final remarks and then adjournment. The book room will remain open and the authors will be available for book signing.
Admission:
$65 per person
Includes parking, morning coffee/tea, lunch and author presentations
*NOTE: The individual registration fee will increase to $67 when using PayPal.
